I am writing in response to Representative Phil King’s outstanding February 13, 2011 “Open letter to parents of public school children” as a 27-year taxpayer and resident of Parker County. Representative King requested that they report to him their “ideas, observations, and specific cost-cutting suggestions to make sure our education dollars are used efficiently.” Note that more than parents of public school children could and should participate in this worthwhile project. I call on all parents of public school children, as well as all Parker County taxpayers to join this effort.
