PARKER COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN OFFER $1000 SCHOLARSHIP

Parker County Republican Women are once again pleased to offer a $1000 educational scholarship to a university, college or technical school for the 2012-2013 school year. Funds from this scholarship will be paid directly to the institution.

The scholarship requires that the student be a resident of Parker County and a graduating senior in 2012. Applicants will submit a Scholarship Packet containing grades, letters of recommendation and a short essay.

Candidate Forum for Senate Races

Parker County Republican Women is hosting a Candidate Forum on Thursday, March 8th at the Doss Heritage and Culture Center in Weatherford. A time for campaign and social opportunities will occur from 11:00-11:30 am as well as time following the forum. The forum will begin at 11:30. This is sure to be an exciting event. We want to help inform our community of who they are voting for and help them understand the significance of voting.

Liberty Institute President to Speak at Local Women’s Club

Kelly is president and CEO of Liberty Institute, a post he has held since 1997.   As a strong leader in the conservative battle, Kelly is sure to inform and motivate.

A constitutional scholar, Mr. Shackelford has argued before the United States Supreme Court, testified before the U.S. House and Senate on Constitutional issues, and has won three state landmark First Amendment and religious liberty cases in the past few years alone. Continue reading →

District Judge Loftin to speak at PCRW meeting

Newly appointed District Judge Trey Edward Loftin will speak at the Parker County Republican Women’s meeting next Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Doss Heritage Center in Weatherford.

Loftin was appointed Judge of the 43rd when District Judge Don Chrestman retired after serving two years of his four-year term.  Trey Loftin has extensive criminal and family law experience.  While currently in private practice, he has worked in the felony trial division of the Tarrant County DA’s office; Texas Court of Criminal Appeals Judge Lawrence Meyers’ office and US District Judge Terry Kern’s office.  Loftin received his undergraduate degree from Baylor University in Waco and his Juris Doctorate from The University of Tulsa College of Law serving as President Of Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity.

Trey is married to Jennifer Loftin and they have four young children with the oldest attending Stuard Elementary in the Aledo ISD.

Victory Texas Field Director to speak at Parker County Republican Women’s Meeting

Laura Zandstra Murray, North Texas Field Director of Victory Texas 2010, will be the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Parker County Republican Women. The meeting will be held at the Doss Heritage Center in Weatherford on Thursday, September 9th at 11:30. She will have a presentation explaining the new GOTV phone bank that is operating out of TCGOP headquarters and how to use the online call system. There will be packets that explain the volunteer incentive prizes for volunteers that make the most calls every month.
