Counting the sellouts, sycophants, sissies and socialists (by whatever name they call themselves, including Republican) is certainly easier than counting the plucky, perspicacious, passionate patriots, that is for sure. For every one of the latter, there are thousands of the former. In fact, since God would have spared Sodom and Gomorrah had he found a faithful ten (out of a population of around ten thousand), it may be that America is teetering around that same percentage. We might be looking at a similar one in a thousand preserving percentage in this country today.

The Americans Who Risked Everything

The Americans

Rush H. Limbaugh, Jr.

Rush H. Limbaugh, Jr.

RUSH INTRODUCTION:  My father, Rush H. Limbaugh, Jr., delivered this oft-requested address locally a number of times, but it had never before appeared in print until it was published in The Limbaugh Letter. My dad was renowned for his oratory skills and for his original mind; this speech is, I think, a superb demonstration of both. Empire State DA: I won't prosecute Cuomo's new gun law

From HumanEvents.com, By: Raquel Okyay 5/30/2013 – An upstate New York prosecutor told Human Events he will not go after an individual for a misdemeanor violation of the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act, signed into law on Jan. 15, in an extraordinary two-minute-drill session of the state’s legislature.
“As I do in all cases, I considered all of the circumstances surrounding the summons,” said Columbia County District Attorney Paul Czajka.

Patriots, President Obama will be presenting the American people with a plan to create more jobs when he returns from another vacation at Martha’s Vineyard. I thought Stimulus 1 and 2 were suppose to boost the economy and create jobs. Don’t hold your breath on this plan either… We must remain the strong, united and effective voice we have been. Keep speaking up! Talk to your neighbors, your friends at work and the people you sit beside at church. Continue reading →

When the Music Stopped

Written by: Chaplain Jim Higgins

LSA Anaconda Ballad Airport in Iraq, north of Baghdad

For those who are unaware, at any military theater, the National Anthem is played before every movie.

I recently attended a showing of ‘Superman 3’ here at LSA Anaconda.  We have a large auditorium we use for movies, as well as memorial services and other large gatherings.  As is the custom back in the States, we stood and snapped to attention when the National Anthem began before the main feature. All was going as planned until about three-quarters of the way through The National Anthem the music stopped.

Now, what would happen if this occurred with 1,000 18-22 year-olds back in the States?  I imagine there would be hoots, catcalls, laughter, a few rude comments; and everyone would sit down and call for a movie. Of course, that is, if they had stood for the National Anthem in the first place.
