Numbers demonstrate failure of administration’s policies
Throughout our nation’s history, Americans have taken justifiable pride in cultivating a domestic climate that attracts innovators, entrepreneurs and businesses from across the globe.
In recent years, however, our tax laws and federal regulations have eroded our international competitiveness. Paradoxically, that has occurred during a period in which increasing globalization demands improvement, not regression.
Unfortunately, new rules announced by the Obama Administration will make the situation worse, not better. Instead of fixing the problem, they seek to compound it.
Did we miss something? Do you recall hearing about this story in the ‘main-stream’ media!
From The Corner, By Hans A. von Spakovsky, 12/20/13 –
A federal judge in Texas has issued a searing indictment of the Obama administration’s immigration policy. He accuses the government of “completing the criminal mission” of human traffickers “who are violating the border security of the United States” and assisting a “criminal conspiracy in achieving its illegal goals.” The judge calls the administration’s behavior “dangerous and unconscionable” and says that “DHS should cease telling the citizens of the United States that it is enforcing our border security laws because it is clearly not. Even worse, it is helping those who violate these laws.”

The present administration has become so indifferent to the obligation it has to protect the rights of American citizens the time has come to ask, ask and ask again who is going to jail. It makes no difference if the apparent indifference of this administration is the result of conscious acts or conscious inaction, or if it is the result of ineptitude, it is doing such great harm to the character of this country that it must be taken to task by example. Who is going to jail?
The latest incriminating information on the U.S. consulate attack in Benghazi, Libya indicates that the State Department turned down a request for additional security from concerned U.S. embassy staff.
New evidence shows there were security threats in Libya in the months prior to the deadly September 11 attack that killed U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. Despite these threats, the State Department left its personnel there to fend for themselves.
Is this how the Obama administration plans to reduce unemployment? Seven out of ten GM vehicles are made outside the United States. Since the UAW now owns a big chunk of GM, does that mean the UAW is investing in foreign labor markets?
Doesn’t that make you want to run to your nearest GM dealer and buy a new Chevy? What could be more American than that?
From The Daily Caller, By Josh Peterson, June 28, 2012 – The federal government has committed itself to destroying once-favored Democratic political donor Philip Falcone, turning its back on a man whose investment efforts were aided by the Obama administration’s use of political and regulatory muscle.
On Wednesday, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) alleged that Falcone — who made billions betting against subprime mortgages during the housing crisis — and his investment firm, Harbinger Capital Partners LLC, had “fraudulently obtained $113.2 million from a hedge fund that he advised and misappropriated the proceeds to pay his personal taxes.”
AUSTIN – The following statement may be attributed to State Representative Phil King (R-Weatherford):
“Today, Luminant, the largest power generating company in Texas, announced they will be cutting approximately 500 Texas jobs due to the Environmental Protection Agency’s Cross-State Air Pollution Rule (CSAPR) that was recently implemented by the federal agency. The rule sets unrealistic goals for emissions reductions in just a matter of months thus forcing Luminant and many other power generating companies to shut down some of their power generating plants, resulting in a loss of jobs. Do you feel safer knowing America has a seemingly inexhaustible supply of academic elites setting and enforcing Obama administration policy? What next – a court appointed lawyer for feral pigs and johnson grass???
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – Federal officials insisted Wednesday that screeners at Kansas City International Airport were just doing their jobs when they frisked a baby, an incident that gained worldwide attention after a pastor posted a cellphone picture of the pat-down on Twitter.
The baby’s stroller set off an alert of possible traces of explosives Saturday, so the screeners were justified in taking a closer look at the boy cradled in his mother’s arms, said Nick Kimball, a spokesman for the Transportation Security Administration. Continue reading →
On behalf of our nation’s veterans, Liberty Institute just filed a lawsuit against the Obama administration over the Mojave Desert War Memorial, and at the same time launched a petition to the President to save the Mount Soledad Memorial.
Fighting the Obama Administration to preserve our war memorials is going to be a tough battle. We need your help.
As you know, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in our favor earlier this year stating the Mojave Cross should stay after the ACLU launched a 10-year legal battle to tear it down. Continue reading →
