Pollster Frank Luntz got significant airtime to direct a post-debate focus group that unsurprisingly was very favorable to Rubio, the GOP establishment pick in the primary race.

Marco Rubio’s Immigration Scam: “You Dumb Gringos”

from TeaPartyEconomist.com, by Gary North on June 20, 2013 – My old friend M. Stanton Evans has written a report on the immigration bill.  What he discusses is not being covered by the media. I have decided to share  this with my readers.
He recognizes what this really is: a $50 million slush fund for La Raza.

On first appraisal, the  amnesty/immigration bill before the Senate looks pretty bad. On a more careful  comb-through, clause by clause, it looks much worse – like a complete disaster.  It also looks like a massive venture in deception.

Activate Damage Control, Senator Rubio

From RedState.com, By: Erick Erickson, June 16th, 2013 – This cannot stand, particularly if you want to run for President.  Ryan Lizza is a liberal and has occasionally written about things he does not understand, i.e. Christianity, but Ryan Lizza doesn’t make sh. . . tuff up.  He’s good.

rubio-2So when Ryan Lizza writes that a Rubio aide told him Senator Rubio had “sided with the Chamber against the construction workers,” we have to take seriously that the aide to Senator Rubio really believes there are Americans who should, for lack of a better term, suffer the fate of natural selection.

The aide’s exact quote is:

No More Games

Chuck Schumer, Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham, John McCain

From RedState.com, By: Erick Erickson, June 13th, 2013 – So many conservatives have been dancing around the issue of Senator Marco Rubio’s collaboration with Chuck Schumer to pass comprehensive immigration reform.

We have blamed his staff.  We have blamed Democrats.  We all like and respect the Senator, even if we disagree on this issue.  We do not want to blame him for the mess the GOP now finds itself in holding a legislative tiger by the tail.

But having, by virtue of my radio show, listened over and over to those awful pro-immigration reform ads between my monologues, I think we need to stop playing games.

‘We’ll block any bill not focused on spending, debt, reduced government’

Senator Rand Paul

Sen. Rand Paul Joins in Message to Democrat Leader Harry Reid – ‘We’ll block any bill not focused on spending, debt, reduced government’

WASHINGTON, D.C. –Sen. Rand Paul today joined seven of his colleagues in sending a letter to Senate Democrat Leader Harry Reid, voicing strong disapproval of Reid’s tactics to limit debate on spending proposals. The Senators announced they will object to the consideration of any upcoming legislation that neglects to address a reduction in the size of government, spending, and our massive debt.

“The Senate Democrats have failed to address the current debt crisis. With less than a week before the temporary spending bill expires, they intend to bring up other pieces of legislation instead of providing ample time for debate and amendments on the bill,” Sen. Paul said. “Unless they directly address the current crisis, we have notified Senate Democrat leadership that we will object to the consideration of any legislation brought before the Senate.”

Below is the letter, which Sen. Paul co-signed with Republican Senators Jeff Sessions (Ala.), John Ensign(Nev.), Jim DeMint (S.C.), David Vitter (La.), Marco Rubio (Fla.), Mike Lee (Utah) and Pat Toomey (Pa.). Continue reading →

Hmmmmm. Maybe, just maybe, the mainstream media’s narrative about racist Republicans isn’t quite true.
