From The Weatherford Democrat, by Christin Coyne, 10/22/15 –
Despite owning the land and building in dispute and facing the possibility of losing $85,000, the Parker County Hospital District is not weighing in on a lawsuit involving the taxable value of the hospital.
Weatherford Texas Hospital Company, a subsidiary of Community Health Systems, is suing the appraisal district, arguing that the taxable value of the hospital should be approximately $35 million rather than $60 million, which the district has valued the property at since 2012, according to Parker County Appraisal District Chief Appraiser Larry Hammonds.
The Parker County Hospital District is offering H1N1 inoculations to additional priority groups next Wednesday, November 25 from 8 am – 2 pm at the Hospital District Office, 1121 Pecan Street. This will include all of CDC’s priority groups:
- Pregnant women
- People who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age
- Health care and emergency medical personnel
- Anyone from 6 months to 24 years old
- Anyone from 25 through 64 years old with underlying health conditions
On Wednesday December 2, from 7 am – 6 pm everyone from 6 months of age and older who are Parker County residents (proof of residency required) may receive the H1N1 vaccine at Cherry Park Community Center located at 313 Davis Street, Weatherford, subject to availability.
