Five years after America first learned of the Operation Fast and Furious federal gunwalking program, new information about the extent of the scandal continues to bubble to the surface.
According to Justice Department documents obtained by conservative watchdog Judicial Watch, Fast and Furious weapons have seen wide use in Mexican drug cartels, with reports suggesting the guns are tied to at least 69 killings.

We are still uncovering grisly details of the Obama administration’s deadly Operation Fast and Furious gunrunning program. Just this week, we revealed that
from December 2012 to March 2016, 94 Fast and Furious weapons were picked up at various crime scenes.
We released Justice Department documents showing that weapons sent from the U.S. into Mexico have been widely used by major drug cartels. Over the past three years, a total of 94 Fast and Furious firearms have been recovered in Mexico City and 12 Mexican states, with the majority being seized in Sonora, Chihuahua and Sinaloa. Of the weapons recovered, 82 were rifles and 12 were pistols identified as having been part of the Fast and Furious program. Reports suggest these particular Fast and Furious guns are tied to at least 69 killings.
Origins: In January 2015, an open letter dated 28 December 2014 and addressed to Attorney General Eric Holder was reproduced on a number of web sites, attributed to a former FBI special agent named K. Dee McCown. The letter in question (usually described as “epic”) was typically presented with no context or sourcing information indicating how it made its way to the Internet.

In its latest installment, the Justice Department on Monday sued the city of Jacksonville, FL, to force the city to jettison the written promotion exams in its fire department. According to Holder and his leading racialist instigator, civil rights division chief Thomas Perez, black people can’t be expected to decipher written questions about firefighting, and it is therefore against the law to ask them to do so.
In today’s Justice Department, the soft bigotry of low expectations has joined with the hard bigotry of seeing whites as racists to create a toxic brew of racial tension. The Jacksonville case follows the atrocious DoJ interference in a similar case in New York City, in which Holder’s team has argued for explicit racial quotas and demanded that black applicants be accepted to the fire academy even if they miss 70 percent of simple test questions.

House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa announced late Monday that he’s expanding his probe into the Justice Department’s questionable gun-walking programs to include drug money the Drug Enforcement Agency reportedly helped smuggle into the hands of the drug cartels in Mexico.
The New York Times reported on Sunday that “in operations supervised by the Justice Department and orchestrated to get around sovereignty restrictions” drug enforcement agents “laundered or smuggled millions of dollars in drug proceeds as part of Washington’s expanding role in Mexico’s fight against drug cartels.” Continue reading →
