The Declaration of Independence (revisited 2014)
WHEN in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for We the People to restore the political bands which from inception have served these United States of America well, and to return to the Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to this action.
These truths have long been self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these rights are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness —- That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Government, becomes destructive to these Ends, it is the right of We the People to alter and restore it to legitimacy by utilizing the form and function of principles first authorized and proved to most likely effect their safety and happiness.

Prudence, indeed, dictates that Governments long established should not be changed just because those persons entrusted to perform the functions government have been utterly derelict in their sworn duty to uphold the Constitution of these United States. Rather, it is the Right and the Duty of We the People to throw off those derelict practitioners and to provide New Guards for our Security and Liberty. The history of recent Administrations demonstrates an increasing wanton willingness to disregard the requirements and constraints of a well-functioning Government as first demonstrated and implemented some two centuries ago. Let an observant citizenry know that the usurpations and caprices, impinging upon legitimate governance, by an Administration and a Congress that has for far too long not been held to account for their actions shall be now rectified and an Administration and a Congress worthy of this Great Nation shall be installed to replace them.
Herein are the facts presented to a candid citizenry:
The Administration has refused its assent to laws, regulations and statues designed to benefit We the People while at the same time thrusting upon us countless rules and regulations of no discernable benefit, having been promulgated by individuals appointed to administrative positions for which they had no prior relevant experience, training or ability.
The Administration has forbidden its paid servants from enforcing certain laws which have the relevance of long standing and has neglected to address the grievances engendered by the absence of their application.
The Administration has chosen willfully to convey benefit outside the law to those persons and groups of persons most attuned to the despotic behavior of the Administrations principal characters, while withholding any benefit and even imposing harm to those persons and groups of persons not favorably disposed to the willful and most often erratic actions of the Administration.
The Administration has taken advantage of one portion of the congress to the detriment of the other portion because the one portion would act without full authority while the other portion would stand by in nearly silent acquiescence.
The Administration has elevated to high office ideological minions who are non-elected bureaucrats over whom We the People have no opportunity of redress and replacement once they prove themselves unworthy of their high position. Thus there has been erected a multitude of new offices which send hither Swarms of Agents to harass We the People and eat out our substance.
The Administration has for a long time proved itself to be absent from the rigor and thoughtfulness required for taking informed and necessary steps to preserve the natural rights of We the People while at the same time conveying its own ill-conceived rights to those persons and groups who have acquiesced to the Administration’s most blatant indulgences. The Administration has further proved itself incapable of administering a foreign policy that promotes world peace and order and has failed to install the appropriate safeguards to protect its citizens both at home and abroad.
The present Administration, first elected with the hope of promoting domestic tranquility, has aggressively been the agent of domestic divisiveness and rancor.
The Administration has conspired with Congress to subject We the People to control and jurisdiction totally foreign to our Constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; thus giving their assent to acts of pseudo legislation. The Administration has inflicted countless illegal intrusions into the daily lives and private matters of its citizens.
And the Administration alone is not the sole cause of the burdens now borne by We the People. The Congress has willfully ignored the protection offered by our Constitution by passing laws that dispense with the relevance of the powers and constraints that are so clearly enumerated in our Constitution and its Amendments.
The Congress has for a long time insulated itself from the daily rigors of the ordinary man by among other things granting exclusively for itself special and lucrative emoluments designed solely for their own comfort and enrichment.
The Congress has failed utterly to exercise its mandatory requirement of reviewing particular actions of the Administration that have raised legitimate questions of actual legal authority, and when the Congress has on occasion exercised its review authority it has failed to persevere to conclusion any oversight it has by not implementing the necessary steps required to overcome Administration obstruction.
The Congress has authorized capricious and wanton expenditure of funds far in excess of any revenue derived from taxation, the extent and depth of which is ever increasing, having attained proportions now exceedingly detrimental to the functioning of a free market society capable of in its own right sustaining the wellbeing of We the People.
The Congress has promulgated laws totally unsupported by the Constitution of the United States of America and they have utilized those pseudo laws to inflict their ideological preferences on select portions of citizens and immigrants by ignoring equal protection provisions and imparting their favors to certain groups of persons while prohibiting others from the enjoyment of the same class of favors.
The Administration and the Congress with help from the courts has transformed the governance of this great nation into a form utterly unresponsive to the legitimate needs and requirements of a free people and it is therefore incumbent upon We the People to restore and institute Elected Representatives of the People who will return our governance to the long established and proven principles of a free society.
Therefore, We the People, in the name of and by the good authority of the citizens of the United States of America solemnly Publish and Declare our imperative to return to a form of governance recognized by the Constitution of the United States of America, and to banish from public service forever the perpetrators of the corruptions impinging upon this Covenant.

Well thought out, basically correct , and could have just as easily been written 10 years ago, 20 years ago, and 30 years ago.
I read this to be an “invitation” for the perpetrators of Constitutional abuse to step down. I doubt that will happen at any level , for one main reason – there are not enough citizens who either recognize the abuses , or have the organizational skills and contacts, to put enough muscle behind the demands.
Below article is a small picture of entrenched corporatists who OWN both political parties, and enjoy raiding YOUR tax dollars to enrich their friends and enhance their stature in politics. They will not be voluntarily relinquishing them.

Grafting into self-generating species resistant and virtually immune from pest control methods can be found in every area of government expenditures. The big daddy of cozy dealing is that preverbal military-industrial-security complex.
Who can forget all the government money spent in Iraq and Afghanistan that went to favored corporations with no bid contracts? A prime example of this practice is the notorious Cheney affiliated company, Halliburton Made $39.5 Billion on Iraq War.
“According to the bipartisan Commission on Wartime Contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan, the level of corruption by defense contractors may be as high as $60 billion. Disciplined soldiers that would traditionally do many of the tasks are commissioned by private and publicly listed companies.
Even without the graft, the costs of paying for these services are higher than paying government employees or soldiers to do them because of the profit motive involved. No-bid contracting – when companies get to name their price with no competing bid – didn’t lower legitimate expenses.”

Last week I received a beautiful color mailing encouraging you to vote early by mail; it is a sample ballot from the Conservative Republicans of Texas. While I ‘m registered no party, I always receive a Republican ballot on election day when I vote; the nice ladies just hand it to me. I blocked out the name of the MD who gave a statement and signed his name representing that organization. I’m not out to embarass anyone. According to his statement, he’s been part of that group since 1992 “…to present voters a listing of the best qualified, conservative candidates. This is the original endorsement slate of conservative Republican candidates.” I was absolutely appalled when I looked at the sample ballot.
U.S. Senator. The incumbent, John Cornyn has seven challengers. The Conservative Republicans of Texas want Texans to reelect an individual who has defecated on the Bill of Rights at every opportunity. He voted for the misnamed “Patriot Act”. Voted to extend that monster. Voted yes on the NDAA. Cornyn has voted consistently to kill American jobs and sovereignty. Voted yes on promoting free trade with Peru. Voted yes on free trade agreement with Oman. Voted yes on implementing CAFTA for Central America free-trade. Voted yes on establishing free trade between US & Singapore. Voted yes on establishing free trade between the US and Chile. He has done nothing to get us out of NAFTA or GATT/WTO. He’s nothing more than a pimp for supranational corporations.
Fiscal conservative? Cornyn Voted to Let Harry Reid Fund ObamaCare. Cornyn Voted for the Wall Street Bailout (T.A.R.P.) A grotesque, unconstitutional theft of your wallet. Unconstitutional: Cornyn Voted to Increase the Federal Minimum Wage. Cornyn Has Voted to Raise the Debt Ceiling Eight Times; rest of short list here. That rotten slug hasn’t focused on the unconstitutional “FED” and the debauched currency we are forced to use, getting us out of the communist UN, eliminating unconstitutional cabinets and agencies bleeding we the people dry and into poverty. Now, doctor, I’m supposed to reward such a snake by reelecting him?
Ballot checked for incumbent Rep. Randy Neugebauer. Are you kidding me? Another free trade traitor who also votes for every bill that kills the Bill of Rights; his voting record. I’ve lived in Texas almost 8 years and have never voted for good old boy, Randy. I vote every time for a challenger, but the party and their big money always backs the incumbent.
Greg Abbot for governor. He is currently Texas’ Attorney General who has always done a very fine job. Until, that is, when it comes to those dangerous ‘smart’ meters. Hundreds of us sent letters to him asking he open a criminal investigation into the energy companies for their criminal behavior regarding installation of those dangerous meters. We all received the same form letter from one of his flunkies saying he couldn’t do that when on his official state web site it says he can. Why the slap in the face? Because over the past 10 years, Abbot has taken over $23 MILLION bux in campaign donations from just energy companies – the same ones we’ve been going after for the past few years. Big money behind Abbott. The hell with Texans.
The doctor from the Conservative Republicans of Texas wants me to reelect State Senator Kel Seliger. I wrote that idiot when Obamacare became a big issue. His response: Golly, gee, that’s a federal matter, go away. Another ignorant career politician. While an ‘opt out’ regarding ‘smart’ meters is a Band Aid, it was important we get the bill passed in our state legislature last year. One vote was needed – Seliger’s. We didn’t get it. I called Seliger’s office asking he vote for it. Know what I got – as did several in this district? “You people quit calling. Smart meters are not a priority”. I’m supposed to reward another state legislator who cares nothing about the health or privacy of his constituents? I don’t think so.
Frank, the voters of today especially those good ” christian conservative Repugs ” , are so simple-minded that they will continue to rubberstamp any charlartan who claims that same mantle.
