Here is an open letter to all U.S. citizens:
While observing the current elected officials in Washington, D.C., do their usual ineffectual posturing and achieving absolutely nothing except increasing the country’s debt and encouraging the overbearing United Nations to tear this country’s Constitution apart in an effort to force us into a “One World Government,” it occurred to me that our elected officials must approve of this behavior because they are doing nothing to discourage it. Nothing we can do about it, you say?
You would be wrong; we can and we must do something about it. The First Amendment to the Constitution of these United States gives us the right “to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” This is what we must do if we would change the direction in which this country is heading.
Repeated contacts with my representatives and senators have garnered nothing but form letters, patting me on the head and assuring me it will all be OK. I refuse to accept their platitudes and excuses any longer. We the people have the means to present our petitions for redress of grievance directly to the House Judiciary Committee for action from that powerful group. Rep. Lamar Smith, R-21st District, is the chairman of that committee, and petitions should be addressed and directed to him. His address is Rep. Lamar Smith, Chairman House Judiciary Committee, 2138 Rayburn House Office Bldg., Washington, D.C. 20515. You can initiate and submit a petition/memorial for articles of impeachment for dereliction of duty, perjury for not upholding their oath of office, or other offenses. There is a comprehensive guide to the procedure on http://impeachforpeace.org. I have been using it and will continue to make every effort to hold our elected officials feet to the fire, especially on the issues of the UN Small Arms Treaty which would abolish our Second Amendment, and all facets of UN Agenda 21. Any elected official who supports those precepts is guilty of violating their oath of office “to protect and defend the Constitution of these United States,” and should be prosecuted in the House for perjury at the very least and treason in some cases. The top dog’s handling of the Benghazi, Libya, embassy fiasco is a good case in point. Does this country now leave our men to die in the field without even trying to save them? I’m starting to be ashamed of my country.
I urge you to join me in putting pressure on the Judiciary Committee to enforce the oath of office and obeyance of our laws by elected officials. Write a petition and send it to Washington demanding action.
