PRESS RELEASE

Parker County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators are seeking an inmate who was performing outdoor work at precinct one this afternoon shortly after 2 p.m., and left the job detail near Veal Station Road.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the inmate is identified as Donald McFaden Orange II, 29, originally from Connecticut, but has no known local address.

Officials believe Orange stole a set of keys off a key board from the precinct and then stole a white Ford pickup truck. Orange was spotted shortly afterward by a Jack County deputy, when he abandoned the truck and fled on foot. Parker and Jack County deputies are searching the area on foot, in patrol units and with a helicopter. Officials have set up a perimeter in the area Orange is believed to be located.

Jack County Sheriff’s Office reported a burglary of a habitation in the area where Orange fled on foot.

Officials said Orange’s inmate clothing was found at the residence and a rifle was missing from the home.

Officials have requested tracking dogs and a second helicopter to aid in the search for Orange.

Orange is described as a white male, 6-feet 1-inch tall with dark hair (recently shaved), green eyes, fair complexion and a thin to medium frame, weighing 165 pounds. Orange has a tattoo of a woman on his back with a second tattoo on his right leg of a mummy.

Orange was originally arrested by Weatherford-Parker County Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team members Nov. 2011, at a local motel on out-of-county warrants for two counts of burglary of a habitation and one count of possession of a controlled substance. At the time of his original arrest, he was also charged with theft of property and criminal mischief. His bond was set at $63,000. He now faces an additional felony charge of escape and theft of a motor vehicle.

Anyone spotting Orange or obtaining information of his whereabouts is urged to call the Parker County Sheriff’s Office at (817) 594-8845, local law enforcement agency or Parker County Crime Stoppers at (817) 599-5555 immediately.
