Romney or Santorum – or neither!

Which Santorum do you like?

The “I was for Romney before I was against Romney.”

or

The social conservative Santorum?

or

The earmark loving, big spending, union labor supporting, budget busting liberal Santorum?

Romney has Santorum’s support

Alyssa Young | The Express-Times By Alyssa Young, Published February 1, 2008 –

Santorum One of Pennsylvania’s former U.S. senators, Rick Santorum, today announced he’s endorsing former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romneyis his bid for the GOP nomination in the presidential race.

“Conservatives can no longer afford to stand on the sidelines in this election, and Gov. Romney is the candidate who will stand up for the conservative principles that we hold dear,” Santorum said in a news release.

Romney said he is honored to have the support of Santorum, who served as senator from 1995 to 2007 and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1991 to 1995. He works now with The Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington D.C.

“He has fought for life, marriage, tax cuts and a stronger national defense. In the coming days, I look forward to working with him as we fight for our party’s conservative foundations,” Romney said of Santorum.

Has anything really changed about Romney’s ‘message’ since he ran in 2008? Not really. He is still the same old ‘tell you what you want to hear’, big money Wall Street supported east coast liberal that if elected, would only slow the pace of socialism’s encroachment into the fabric of American life.

Has anything changed about Santorum since he so fervently expressed his loyal support for Romney? I don’t think so. I admire his profession of faith and I truly believe he lives a life grounded on Biblical principles – except for his addiction to the spending of other people’s money;  my taxes and your taxes!  I believe his voting record clearly shows his lengthy record of supporting a big spending liberal agenda. I am convinced that if either Romney or Santorum is elected, our slide toward socialism will continue.
