Slogging down the ‘Mushy Middle’ – Dole, McCain and now Romney –

By Lenny Leatherman

How many humiliating defeats is it going to take until Conservative Republicans learn that core conservative principles cannot be compromised – that the mushy middle only slows our slide into socialism ?

Are you kidding? Are you willing to bet America’s future on Romney? Which Romney? He has more positions than an octopus has tentacles!

The Dole campaign for President was a joke. Then the mushy moderate Republican elites placed all their political eggs in the McCain basket. How’d that work out for ya – Hmmm?

And now this same bunch of ‘inside the beltway Republican moderates’ are stacking the deck in Romney’s favor! With friends like that, who needs enemies? The line between the Republican moderates and the socialist media is almost indistinguishable! Unless they are stopped, the outcome will be the same – defeat for conservatism AGAIN.

Now let me see if I understand the moderate Republican position of promoting a ‘Romney campaign’ –

You want to run this (I agree with you no matter what you believe) mushy moderate who lost to McCain who lost to Obama because you think Romney can beat Obama, the guy who beat McCain, who is the guy who beat Romney – Huuu?

What has changed about Romney – nothing! He is the same tell you what you want to hear no core mushy moderate that he has always been. If there has been any change at all, it has been in his marketing strategy. Rip off the new wrapping and you find the same old Romney!

Romney & Gingrich are bankster-owned globalists, just as Obama is.

Just as Mccain was/is – same with Dole and Bush the Elder and Bush The Lesser.

So true constitutional, small-government Taft-Goldwater style conservatives have no choice but to support the one and ONLY candidate who is not a toady for the bankster cartel.

I bet you know his name. If one has the courage of their convictions, they will make the leap. And tell the RNC that promoting the closet Democrats and internationalists with an “R” after their name, will not work any longer.

True small government types will quit ninnying over tiny talking points of perceived differences which, when they look behind the curtain, make no real difference.

The globalist Republicons have left the borders wide open, offshored our manufacturing, made a mockery of sound economics and given a pass to the Wall Street blatant theft and criminality, and launched bully-pulpit wars of convenience which have failed legitimate US interests.

The middle class “R” best rethink some things, and quit letting Faux News ( Save Judge Napolitano) and a handful of radio blowhards think for them.

“It is upon a reckless people: squalid in their demeanor, stupid and arrogant in their politics, economics and military matters; sleazy in their popular culture the savage judgment of history will be rendered. The verdict will be guilty.
The penalty will be death, for the people, the institutions and culture which so openly mocks all that is just and true and good about the American Republic.
Like Rome, we have replaced Republic with Empire and, like Rome, we will pay the economic price for our folly.” – Doug McIntosh, “The Economic Farce is Ending”

[T]he majority of politicians, on the evidence available to us, are interested not in truth, but in power and in the maintenance of that power. To maintain that power it is essential that people remain in ignorance, that they live in ignorance of the truth, even the truth of their own lives. What surrounds us therefore is a vast tapestry of lies, upon which we feed.

    – Harold Pinter, Nobel Lecture (Literature), 2005

We have a strong civil society that could, in theory, overcome the entrenched interests of the armed forces and the military-industrial complex. At this late date, however, it is
difficult to imagine how Congress, much like the Roman senate in the last days of the republic, could be brought back to life and cleansed of it endemic corruption. Failing such a reform,
Nemesis, the goddess of retribution and vengeance, the punisher of pride and hubris, waits impatiently for her meeting with us.
