Business as usual will continue in Parker County & Weatherford.
You reelected an entire city council and mayor after national publicity and disgrace over conditions and anomalies at the “death camp” aka Animal Shelter.
You reelected a county judge even after he milked the wimp commissioners court for an extra $20k to cover his knee surgery.
You reelected a sheriff who lobbied for, and got privatized jailer services, then failed to reciprocate by reducing a bloated staff or even increasing patrols. And who is demanding raises for this same bloated staff and department.
I could continue in detail. But the “approved” patty-cake politics, nice social luncheons and approved conventions will continue…………..obviously.

Senator there has long been a mindset in Parker county that if we can spend $50 and get another $50 added by the state or federal government then they should do it at all cost, hang the fact that all that money regardless of which fund it comes from comes from the people. As Gov. of any color has no money only the money they take from the people. 100% of the people pay for things (tax payers) and > than 10% use it. What percent of the people use the new bike and hiking trail? Wow, but we got money from the state in matching funds.
Stan – what you describe is a malaise that inflicts the elected – they love to spend OTHER PEOPLES MONEY.
I recall the ridiculous statements of an ex-commissioner after the holy court spent $35k to acquire a useless, over-priced boondoggle piece of equipment – the infamous ” emergency command center vehicle “………..he was giddy that PORKer County got a “grant” for the other $200+K the vehicle cost. Sure Jim – that “grant” $$ just grows on trees !
Or the overweight deputies who get “bestowed” an extra $35-40K for over-an-above costs of surgery, like the Riley knee scam ?
And the same charlatans have the continuing audacity to foist a tax increase almost yearly – but do we vote them out? Do we hold them accountable?

Folks must really hate their kids and grandkids, to saddle them with the oppressive debt on the next generation. Real “stewardship”, right ?
