Madison Project Launches New Performance Index Site

From ConservativeVotingRecords.com, POC - Daniel Horowitz -

We’ve been working on a revolutionary project for quite some time and it is finally completed.  The Madison Project has announced the creation of the Madison Performance Index, a one-stop site to hold Republican House members accountable for their voting record.  Have you ever wondered how your member’s voting record stacks up against the political orientation of his/her district?  To answer that question, we’ve created the Madison Performance Index (MPI), a simple yet novel tool that compares the voting record to the ideological bent of the district.  Come and check out the site!

Are Conservative Districts Really Electing Conservative Representatives?

Time to Hold Conservatives Accountable

Shedding Light on Real Conservative Voting Records

“Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?” – Ronald Reagan, 1975

Nearly 40 years later, third parties are still not viable and many of our elected Republicans are purveyors of pale pastel policies – ones that are barely distinguishable from Democrats.

Worse yet, during every election cycle, nearly every single Republican candidate is quick to promote cherished American values such as free enterprise and individual liberty while out on the campaign trail. However, once elected, a disheartening majority of these elected officials end up abandoning the very principles that got them elected. They talk the conservative talk at home and walk the statist walk in D.C. Worst of all, many of these members of the United States House of Representatives represent strong conservative states and districts. They’ve been able to hide their not-so-conservative performance…until now.

House of Representatives Voting Records

Through conservativevotingrecords.com, the Madison Project is committed to putting an end to this duplicity by exposing Republicans whose liberal voting actions speak louder than their words. Our goal is to give voice to the millions of Americans who demand that their elected representatives govern by conservative values … and to aggressively primary out those that shamelessly pander to them during elections.

If there is any hope of obtaining a conservative majority even within the Republican conference, much less the Congress at large, we must begin by electing bold and consistent conservatives in conservative districts and states.  Members of Congress from conservative states like Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Oklahoma, are seriously underperforming. If we continue to let these Republican statistics from conservative districts go unchallenged in primaries, we will never elect a conservative majority.
