I know some of you, especially our local folks, have done a story on this, but we just received in the mail today our certificate from the Texas Comptroller’s Office regarding our leading efforts in financial transparency amongst Texas Counties. It is pretty exciting to me that we are one of only two counties, out of the 254 in Texas, to achieve the Gold Star Status. We actually received 15 out of 15 points in the comptroller’s rating criteria to earn this award.
