If you think you’ve found a Republican in my writings, think again. Neither am I a Democrat. Based on a comparison of the platforms of these two dominant parties, with no other criteria to judge, I would have to opine that the Republican Party is the “lesser of two evils.” Qualifying their opposite planks on the abortion issue, with the word “honesty”, the Democrats rank higher. The Republican plank claims a Pro-Life stand, but Republican politicians generally compromise with status quo. The Democrats are honestly Pro-Death. I could give you opinions on the other planks, but I reserve the right to my “single issue voter” status. If a politician makes the mistake of denying right to life, he will make many, many more mistakes on many other issues.

Church and State were “mixed” way before George W. Bush. The Church of Humanism has long been the established religion in Washington. Humanist Manifesto II reads like a play-by-play history of at least the last fifty years of Washington politics. Some of their stated agenda items, such as “freedom of choice”, are yet to be ticked off. As for the great division in American culture, a major cause of that lies in the fact that the litmus test for just laws, simply spelled out in the single sentence of the Preamble to our Constitution, has been totally ignored by Washington politicians, of both parties. I respectfully submit that you examine your heart, to make sure that you are not harboring some of that “web of hate”, that you speak of. You “believe in God” -- ask Him to reveal to you whether, or not, you are harboring any hatred for George W. Bush, or Republicans. Please allow me to remind you of Paul’s teaching in Ephesians, chapter 6, especially verse 12.

Stay tuned for more of that liberal slant, and left wing bias, that you just can't find anywhere else, except on the Parker County Blog...
P.S. In the 1960,s, finding a "Republican" in Parker County, Texas, was like trying to find a Klu Klux Klan member, walking in a white sheet, in the daytime!

I certainly believe in God and Christanity, but sadly, George W.Bush succeeded in mixing Church and State. This is what pitted family against family, and divided Americans in such a way that threatened our very way of life, and survival. I was taught that Christ reached out first to those in need, and was concerned
for the poor, and the sick. He also preached caring for humanity and harmony. Unfortunately, unconcern for minorities and the common people, spun it's web of hate, which the Republican party harbors. This does not reflect the Christian values I was taught as a child, Greed for the elite and corporations, and neglect of the people, is not what the majority of people wanted, in the November election of 2008.
