Now about the Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac Scam -

So tell me again – who caused our Economic Crisis?

It’s Not What They Say, It’s What They Do That Matters!

September 25, 2009

The Obama administration’s “Cash for Clunkers” program should provide sufficient insight into the administration’s ability to implement and manage a government controlled healthcare system. Consider the following:

A vehicle at 15 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 800 gallons a year of gasoline.

A vehicle at 25 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 480 gallons a year.

So, the average clunker transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year.

They claim 700,000 vehicles – so that’s 224 million gallons per year. That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil.

5 million barrels of oil is about ¼ of one day’s US consumption, and, 5 million barrels of oil costs about $350 million dollars at $75/bbl.

So, the Obama administration spent $3 billion to save $350 million.

And these are the same geniuses who want to “fix” healthcare in America?

Powerful words spoken by an ordinary American

September 23, 2009

This gentleman and his wife made the tape from their ranch in south-central Texas.  At their own expense, they made 1000 copies and sent one to every single congressman and senator and some media outlets.

It will take about 13 minutes to watch these short videos!  You will be glad you did.

Weatherford’s Three Amigos of Tax and Spend

September 23, 2009

The three Amigos of tax and spend (i.e. Councilman Swancy, Councilman Waymon Hamilton, and Mayor Hooks) voted for and passed the property tax increase at Tuesday night’s (Sept 22) Council Meeting.

Councilman Clinton and Councilman James Hamilton remained staunch advocates against the property tax increase but, were out voted by a majority vote of 3-2.

That’s not all to this sad story folks.  The premise behind the need for the property tax increase was to fund the debt service on the current road projects.

How to Rein In the Oligarchy

September 20, 2009

by Art Helms

Have you ever been hornswoggled into a boondoggle, by a master bamboozler? Well of course you have, if you are an American taxpayer.

On March 4th, 1913, President Elect Woodrow Wilson began his inaugural address: “There has been a change of government. It began two years ago, when the House of Representatives became Democratic by a decisive majority. It has now been completed. The Senate about to assemble will also be Democratic. The offices of President and Vice- President have been put into the hands of Democrats. What does the change mean? That is the question that is uppermost in our minds today.”  Within President Wilson’s closing statements, he said “Men’s hearts wait upon us; men’s lives hang in the balance . . .

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Parker County District and County Court at Law Judges are letting Parker County residents know that if they fail to show up for Jury Duty they will be fined and that the maximum fine has just increased from $100 to $500.
The 6th and 7th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution preserve the right to trial by jury in criminal trials and certain civil trials.  The United States of American is one of the last countries in the world to guarantee trial by Jury. Read the rest of this entry »
Rhetoric And Fraud
September 16, 2009
“Hubris-laden charlatans” was the way a recent e-mail from a reader characterized the Obama administration. That phrase seems especially appropriate for the Charlatan-in-Chief, Barack Obama, whose speech to a joint session of Congress was both a masterpiece of rhetoric and a shameless fraud.
To tell us, with a straight face, that he can insure millions more people without adding to the already skyrocketing deficit, is world-class chutzpa and an insult to anyone’s intelligence. To do so after an analysis by the Congressional Budget Office has already showed this to be impossible reveals the depths of moral bankruptcy behind the glittering words.
Did we really need CBO experts to tell us that there is no free lunch? Some people probably did and the true believers in the Obama cult may still believe the President, instead of believing either common sense or budget experts.
Councilmen Hamilton and Clinton vote against tax increase
September 16, 2009
Councilman James M. Hamilton
September 15,2009
The majority of the Weatherford City Council just voted to raise property taxes on the citizens of Weatherford. Councilman Jerry Clinton and I voted to keep the tax rate at current level and to explore other options for raising funds to meet our obligations. What a world!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our thanks to Hamilton and Clinton!

By voting against higher taxes, they have once again demonstrated by their actions, that they base their decisions on sound conservative principles.  They are a reflection of the voters who elected them.

Hang in there Hamilton and Clinton ~ help is on the way!

Federal health care reform would cost Texas dearly

September 14, 2009

State Rep. Phil King(2009)2This is a good, quick read and explains well what Obama-care will cost individual Texans.  It’s the first thorough “Texas” breakdown I’ve seen.

As Congress continues its health care debate, the American public is focused squarely on the implications that current federal proposals will have on our nation’s economy, health-care system and fiscal future.

“The Prognosis for National Health Insurance: A Texas Perspective,” the recent report by internationally renowned economist Arthur Laffer for the Texas Public Policy Foundation, concluded that a reform based on President Barack Obama’s principles — including an estimated $1 trillion increase in federal government health subsidies over 10 years — will accelerate health-care inflation; slow our economy, cost every Texas resident an additional $4,265, and still leave about 30 million Americans uninsured.
